Privacy Policy

Value-Position is a public comparison database. There are no accounts and no forms: we never ask for your name, email or payment details. What we do collect is how the site is used, so we can tell which pages help people and fix the ones that don’t. We don’t run ads, and we don’t sell or share personal information.
What we collect
Usage analytics (Google Analytics 4). The pages you view and what you do on them: which solutions you open, compare or visit, how you use the charts, and the answers you give the positioning wizard (industry, company stage, stack, AI needs and ROI goal). It also records your device and browser type, the page that referred you, page load performance, and an approximate location (country and city) that Google derives from your IP address. Google Analytics 4 doesn’t log or store IP addresses.
Session recordings and heatmaps (Microsoft Clarity). Mouse movement, clicks and scrolling, replayed so we can see where a page confuses people. Anything typed into a field is masked before it leaves your browser.
Server logs. Our hosting provider (Railway) and CDN (Cloudflare) process your IP address to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
How we use it
Only to understand and improve the site: which content is useful, where people get stuck, and how fast pages load. We don’t use it for advertising, build profiles to target you, or combine it with data from elsewhere. We don’t sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Your choices
In the United States and most other countries, analytics is on by default. You can opt out at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out automatically. We don’t respond to the older “Do Not Track” setting, which has no agreed meaning.
In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are only set after you accept them, and we rely on that consent to use them. You can withdraw it at any time with the same Cookie settings link. You also have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to its use, and to complain to your data protection authority.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works the same without them.
Who processes it
Google (Analytics), Microsoft (Clarity), Cloudflare (CDN) and Railway (hosting) process data on our behalf under their own data protection terms. They may process it in the United States. The solution data you browse lives in our database (Supabase), which holds nothing about you.
How long we keep it
Google Analytics keeps event data for 14 months. Clarity keeps recordings for about 30 days. Aggregated reports, which say nothing about any one visitor, may be kept longer.
Children
The site is meant for business buyers and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect their information.
Links to vendors
Solution pages link to vendors’ own websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and what they collect is up to them.
