Bottom line
vCom Solutions pairs a single IT lifecycle management platform with expert managed services so midsize and enterprise IT and finance teams can source, operate and pay for network, mobility, cloud and SaaS. Three product areas cover planning and procurement, operations management, and expense management with invoice auditing, cost allocation and analytics, plus an optional vendor-agnostic Buyers' Club for aggregated wholesale pricing. Sold by annual agreement with no free trial; best at scale (5+ locations or 50+ devices).
Frequently asked questions
How is vCom priced?
vCom prices per unit rather than per seat. Network Lifecycle Management starts at $1.67 per day per circuit, Mobile Lifecycle Management starts at $0.13 per day per device, and Technology Expense Management is priced at 2% of spend under management. Platform access is bundled into those solutions, all engagements require a service agreement, and prices exclude taxes. Discounts and promotions are negotiable with your sales representative.
Is there a free trial or pilot?
No. vCom states it does not currently offer a free trial of its software or pilot projects, because of the value-added nature of the products and services. However, engaging the team for strategic IT sourcing carries no cost, and many customers begin there before adopting the platform.
Do we have to use the Buyers' Club?
No. vCom says customers keep the choice of how they source. The Buyers' Club centrally aggregates purchasing power for pre-negotiated network and mobility pricing and consolidated billing, but customers may also manage technology they already own or sourced through their own brokers.
Who is vCom a good fit for?
Midsize and enterprise environments that work at scale: organizations with at least five office locations and/or more than 50 company-owned mobile devices across one to ten carriers, and industries that depend heavily on technology. vCom advises that small businesses with a handful of locations or fewer than 50 mobile devices may find it neither the right fit nor cost-effective.
How do we get support?
The Customer Care Center handles all non-trouble-ticket inquiries by phone, email or case submission inside the platform; technical issues are raised through Get Help in the platform. Operations run 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Pacific Time, calls and chats are answered in real time, and emails are addressed within 30 minutes. A named representative owns each request end to end.
