How is EcoVadis priced, and what does a subscription include?
EcoVadis does not publish list prices. Plans are quoted by company size (XS to L), country and currency, with one-year and three-year terms. The Sustainability Ratings ladder runs Basic, Premium, Select and Corporate; the Enterprise subscription for buyers includes unlimited suppliers and users. Carbon Rating is available only by partner invitation.
How long until we have a usable rating?
A first scorecard typically takes four to eight weeks once the questionnaire and supporting documents are submitted. Analysts spend more than 15 hours reviewing a questionnaire, and the Select plan adds priority fast-tracked review. EcoVadis says suppliers report an average 15% improvement after their first assessment, and ratings are refreshed annually.
What AI does EcoVadis use, and is a human involved?

Which security and privacy certifications does EcoVadis hold?
Its Trust Center states ISO/IEC 27001 certification for information security and ISO 9001 for quality, with a 24/7 security operations centre and annual third-party penetration tests. For privacy, EcoVadis says it complies with GDPR and uses the ISO 27701 framework, with Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers outside the EEA. Public pages do not claim SOC 2, HIPAA or FedRAMP.
Can we share the rating with customers, and does it replace their questionnaires?
On Basic the scorecard is shareable inside the EcoVadis network only; Premium, Select and Corporate allow unlimited sharing outside it, plus Medals and Badges if eligible. That is the main supplier benefit: one assessment answering many customer requests. Buyers still set their own requirements, so it does not remove every questionnaire.
How much internal effort does running EcoVadis take?
For suppliers, a sustainability or compliance owner plus document contributors is usually enough; the questionnaire is customised by industry, size and country, and pre-filling and auto-upload are available on some plans. Buyer-side rollouts are heavier, since 1,500+ global leaders use EcoVadis to profile supplier networks, so plan procurement and sustainability to co-own the programme.
