Parabola

Your hardest finance and ops work, on AI you can trust.

By Parabola · 4.5/5 Value-Position score (estimate)

Positioning guardrails

Best for

  • Finance, accounting and supply chain teams reconciling data across ERP, WMS, spreadsheets, email and PDFs
  • Ecommerce and consumer brands that need inventory, order and PO exception handling to run reliably
  • Ops leaders who must explain and audit every step rather than accept a black-box answer
  • Teams that want to start free and self-serve, then scale to governed, scheduled production agents

Ideal size: 20–500 people · Scale-up or mid-market brand with a finance/ops function and several source systems

Not for

  • Teams looking for a general-purpose assistant for one-off documents, emails or scheduling
  • Companies with a single clean data source and no cross-system reconciliation work
  • Buyers who require published per-seat list pricing without a sales conversation
  • Engineering teams wanting a code-first orchestration framework they fully control

Bottom line

Parabola, now branded Prowork, is a finance and ops automation platform that turns reconciliations, accruals, PO matching, invoice auditing and inventory exception work into visible, code-backed Flows. Teams point it at ERP, WMS, spreadsheets, inboxes and PDFs, then run the result on demand, on a schedule or on a trigger. AI is scoped to extraction and judgment while rules stay explicit, and IT keeps SSO, permissions, lineage and audit trails. A free self-serve tier exists; Business plans add the Applied AI team and SLAs.

Frequently asked questions

What does Parabola cost?

There is a free self-serve Basic plan (1 user, 1,000 credits, limited AI) and pay-as-you-go credits as usage grows. Team Business plans are quoted by sales and add Applied AI enablement, governance and SLAs. Pricing is credit-based and credits are consumed when agents run, not while you build, so cost tracks automation volume rather than seats.

How long does implementation take?

The product claims signup to a working Flow in minutes, helped by pre-built connectors for ERP, warehouses, spreadsheets and email. Business customers start with a proof of concept built on production data alongside the Applied AI team, and the vendor states that if value is not proven you walk away at no cost. Realistic first production value is days, not months.

Is it secure enough for finance data?

Parabola advertises SOC 2 Type II, SSO and SAML, role-based access and encryption at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+), running in a segregated AWS VPC. Flow data is retained for at most 14 days or until the next run, and the security page states Parabola does not sell your data. GDPR is referenced only as a data protection agreement resource.

Do we still own and control the logic?

Yes. Flows are visible, editable and code-backed, capturing sources, rules, calculations and exceptions as readable steps. AI helps explore data and build or edit the Flow, while rules and calculations run the work. Business plans add version history with one-click rollback, centralized credential governance and a full audit trail of agent runs.

What can it connect to?

Native connectors include NetSuite, SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics, BrightPearl, Cin7, Salesforce, HubSpot, Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift, Slack, SharePoint and OneDrive, plus PDF and email extraction. A generic API step covers REST or GraphQL sources that are not on the list.
