Bottom line
1up is an AI answer engine for sales teams: it centralises approved knowledge and generates source-grounded answers to RFPs, DDQs, security questionnaires and ad-hoc customer questions. Answers appear in browser extensions, Slack, Teams, Google Chat or a branded Answer Hub, with review before sending. Plans run from free and a $50/month MCP tier to $300–$900/month team plans and custom Enterprise deals. Best for B2B sellers with a maintained knowledge base and heavy questionnaire volume.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to get value from 1up?
Customers report going live quickly: one team lead says the product 'immediately delivers a lot of value and implementation is a breeze'. A free trial lets you connect sources straight away, and once knowledge is centralised, first drafts that used to take days are produced in minutes. Plan on roughly one to two weeks to connect sources, review output and put an approval workflow in place.
What does 1up cost?
There is a free tier (1 admin, 50 knowledge uploads, 50 answers per month). Paid plans are MCP at $50/month plus pay-as-you-go automation at $0.05 per question answered, Starter at $300/month, Plus at $900/month, and custom Enterprise pricing with a dedicated success manager. Annual billing saves 15%.
Where do the answers come from, and can they be trusted?
1up only answers from sources you connect, such as your website, product docs, SharePoint, OneDrive, Google Drive, Confluence, Notion, Egnyte, Highspot and past questionnaires. The vendor states that 1up is not allowed to answer unless the information comes from a data source you trust, which it says avoids generative-AI hallucination. Teams can review, edit and approve every response.
Is our data safe, and is it used to train AI models?
1up says data is encrypted in transit and at rest with AES-256, isolated to your workspace, and hosted in US, EU or AU zones. Its security page states that documents uploaded to 1up are never used to train any AI models or shared outside your workspace, and that customers retain full control and may modify or delete data at any time.
Does 1up integrate with our existing stack?
Yes. Connectors include Salesforce, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, SharePoint, OneDrive, Google Drive, Confluence, Notion, Egnyte and Highspot, plus Chrome and Edge extensions for web-based questionnaires. An MCP server is included on the MCP plan so teams can work from their preferred AI platform.
Who is 1up not a good fit for?
Teams without a curated set of approved documents see little benefit, since 1up only answers from what you connect. Buyers wanting a general-purpose chatbot, a content-writing assistant, or a full GRC and compliance-management platform should look at other categories.
