Frequently asked questions
How much does MarginEdge actually cost?
$350 per location per month, all-inclusive, or $500 per location per month for the MarginEdge + Freepour bundle. That covers unlimited invoices processed, unlimited US bill payments, POS and accounting integrations, inventory, ordering, recipe costing and menu analysis. Annual prepayment earns a 10% discount. There are no tiered packages and no per-seat charges.
Are there setup, onboarding or cancellation fees?
MarginEdge says it does not charge traditional setup fees. Onboarding packages are offered instead — guided options for groups of 1–4 locations and bespoke packages for 5+ locations that cover activation, implementation support and guidance from the Implementation Team. There are no cancellation fees, except that annual subscribers committing to a 12-month term owe the remaining balance if they leave mid-year.
I use Toast — what extra fees should I expect?
Toast charges MarginEdge a partner fee for each location each month, which MarginEdge passes through to you. Separately, Toast customers need Toast's "Restaurant Management Suite" subscription at $50 per location per month to unlock API integrations. That Toast fee is flat regardless of how many integrations you connect.
How secure is our financial and sales data with MarginEdge?
MarginEdge states that its information security program follows a defense-in-depth approach aligned with SOC 2 security standards, and that it maintains PCI DSS compliance. Data is encrypted at rest at the database layer and in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher, backups are automated and tested, environments are separated, and a SOC 2 Type 2 report is available on request. Infrastructure runs on AWS under the AWS Shared Responsibility Model.
How do we get help once we are live?
Support is handled by email at [email protected] or by submitting a help-desk ticket; the vendor asks existing customers to route support requests there rather than through sales. The Help Center provides articles and videos, and the team runs weekly training webinars. Unlimited email support is listed as included in the subscription, and 1:1 software training is part of onboarding.
